Protocolls for data collection on Extreme Wildfire Events

These protocols provide detailed guidelines for collecting data on atmospheric vertical profiles of key variables such as temperature, relative humidity and wind, fire behaviour, smoke plume characteristics, and wildfire properties during extreme wildfire events. Their primary aim is to standardise data collection, enhance interoperability, and improve information sharing to deepen our understanding of these phenomena.

The documents are available in both English and Spanish and can be accessed here: EWED Deliverables. We encourage you to explore them and share them widely.

Your feedback is more than welcome!
